Just a quick reminder that you can win a free copy of my paranormal thriller, The Unearthed, tonight at 8:00 PM EST during a chat hosted by Rita Vetere at her website.
And even if you're only a casual reader of my blog, you'll still have a good chance of answering the trivia question before anyone else!

HINT FOR TONIGHT:
The question will have something to do with my dogs.
Brian, if people don't catch this it may have something to do with the blogosphere right now, as I just got this message updated on my computer and it's already just after nine Pacific time right now, which would be far too late if I didn't luckily already have a copy...
It could be just my computer, but a whole bunch of links just got 'refreshed'.
Seana,
Yeah, I don't know what's up with blogger. Adrian posted yesterday that he might have gotten hacked. Weird.
I did manage to give away the copy last night, thankfully. There's nothing worse than when you try to give away something free and people aren't interested ;)
I'm glad you had contestants.
By the way, I've been meaning to tell you that the cover for The Unearthed is really striking. I think it's an unusually good one for an e-book, as it works well on a screen.
Thanks, Seana. I really appreciate that, because it's something I was very concerned with.
You're right, some e-book covers leave a LOT to be desired. The feedback I've gotten so far for TU is good, which is a relief. No matter how enlightened people are, they do still judge a book by its cover, don't they?
I've heard some statistics from a survey someone in the book industry did asking people how choose books, and 'by the cover' is a far higher number than I would have guessed--and I wouldn't have guessed low.Of course, I have no memory of the actual percentage now.
I've been curious how ebooks will do, given this situation. Seems like a problem, although it would be the same problem for printed books purchased on line.
Anyway, at least the way yours pops up on my screen, it looks like the opening credits to a horror movie, which is of course a good thing.
Seana,
Here's a site totally devoted to poking fun at book covers I just found.
It's a strange world we live in.
The blogosphere contains many treasures, dubious though some may be. I'm thinking those book cover people have a little too much time on their hands. Though I suppose the same case could be made against me. Thanks for the link, though. Safe to say that your book cover will not be appearing on their blog.
Very thooughtful blog
