Promote Whatever You Want On My Blog

Ladies and gents, it's that time of the month again. The blog has been getting a decent amount of traffic, especially considering I do next to nothing to actually promote it. So, by leaving a comment below, you have a good shot at reaching a new audience.

A brief reminder about the rules:

1) Promote anything you want so long as you
2) Don't promote anything about or for me.

Have at it. I'll leave this post up for a few days, and as always, thanks for stopping by.

I've been having some mixed reviews for my novel, Drowning Rapunzel. Manic Readers thinks it's a great suspense, but lacking in the romance department :) Alternative read.com compared some elements to Hitchcock:

"Although this is a romance, it is also something written along the lines of the old Hitchcockian themes where clues are given, but you're so involved that they escape until the end when it suddenly makes sense and you go "I should have figured that out". A real treat to read."
full review by witchgiggles/altenative-read here:
http://tjbook-list.blogspot.com/2009/07/review-drowning-rapunzel-by-annette.html

"Overall, I liked Drowning Rapunzel. Again it wins in the suspense genre—and it definitely keeps you guessing and evaluating potential suspects all the way through. I think the romance aspect (it is listed as a romantic suspense) could have been removed without much effect to the story as it seemed quite awkward much of the time—almost forced. So if what you want is romance I can’t really recommend this novel but if you like mystery/suspense then it gets a thumbs up from me!"

Clayton,
Nice review and thanks for stopping by.

Annette,

Thanks for stopping by. I don't need to tell you this, but don't take the mixed reviews to heart. Just learn from them what you can and keep writing.

And seriously, if your work reminds someone of Hitchcock, that's quite a feat!

Hi Brian,

Here's a review for War of the Soulites:

http://manicreaders.com/index.cfm?disp=reviews&bookid=4238

I really liked War of the Soulites. It’s kind of a Resident Evil fused with The Matrix and Super Troopers—a gory, battle-loaded, mental overload in a way that I loved. The characters are complex and intriguing, with complex interactions that progress in a way more real-to-life than most stories adhere to (I half-expected Mark and Elizabeth to have a steamy scene or at least a sloppy kiss, but the story leaves that possibility open without jumping right into it in the whole two weeks or so in which the story takes place). The story is simple but complex-enough to fulfill everything you’d need from a less-than-two-hundred page story. I love the idea of the Soulites! They’re just so unexpected but so elegant at the same time. Ms. Bennett, please tell me there’s a sequel!

Thanks, Brian. I'm riding several highs. My paranormal thriller STRUCK was released as a paperback two weeks ago, and it's getting great reviews. Amazon still has it at 32% off cover price, and that's a great deal. Details at my website or blog:

Yesterday, Lyrical Press sent me the cover for DARK KNOWLEDGE, a paranormal thriller to be released in October. I love the cover! See it at my blog and see if you're as awestruck as I am. http://www.keithpyeatt.blogspot.com

Thanks for the opportunity to promote.

lol definitely up for some shameless self-promotion!

Can Gem and Shirak find their way through madness and sorrow to forge a new peace?

Gem Tunuviel thought her father's insane quest was at an end. She was wrong. He is resolved on destruction. Driven to escape him, she seeks the faces in her visions: other Rikashi, dragon shape-shifters like herself.

Shirak Gwindor, haunted by nightmares of half-remembered tortures, is also following a vision. He struggles to keep his attraction for Gem buried under his rigid sense of duty.

As a force draws the Rikashi together, can Gem find acceptance with others of her own kind, or must she keep her true self hidden?

And Mickey of YouGottaRead Reviews says : "Every element of her story is just as important as the next, each character fully developed, no matter how minor they might appear at the time."

Looks like a good day for sharing reviews of our darlings. So here are a few (excerpts, of course) I've received about ^Hot Summer Fling.^ Thanks for the open mic opp, Brian! TZ

* If you are looking for a read that is quick, full of sex, and riveting, then this is the book for you. -- Tonya, You Gotta Read

* ...some very hot sex packed into the pages. If you’re looking for a quick, erotic read this would be a perfect read for you. -- Tracy, Book Binge

* Hot Summer Fling is most definitely hot. This story will make you wonder just what you can learn from a summer fling. Find yourself and enjoy a Hot Summer Fling for yourself. -- Dianna, ManicReaders

* A good first person story can be hard to find, but this is one. Filled with WAY HOT loving, and female cattiness, it was well rounded and very enjoyable. A great read. My hats off to you, Ms Zuma, for a wonderful job done and here’s to many more in the future.
-- Wisteria, Whipped Cream

* I enjoyed reading this book. Ms. Zuma has penned a book that makes being a bad girl seem like a good idea, especially when there are hunky men like Jack involved. -- Sheryl, Sensual Cataromance

Heat up your summer with ^Hot Summer Fling^ from Lyrical Press.

Hello everyone!
My name is Rex Djere, and I am a computer science major at American Sentinel University. A few months ago, I started a Christian advertising website called Acrossad.com. Right now, I do all of the work on the site, but I think that the site is a great idea that will blow up very soon. Acrossad is a great way to promote your family-friendly website.

A couple of days ago, I added an educational wiki to Acrossad. I'll post all of my computer science notes to the wiki. If you are a college student, I invite you to do the same. The price of ad space on Acrossad is cheap now, but it will rise as the site grows in poularity, so buy your space now! Thank you!
